Valentines Steak Meal for two
Steve Shore our Michelin Star Development Chef has created a superb Steak Meal for two. Including a sweet treat for each of you also. Why not add a bottle of wine and save.
Valentines Steak Meal for two Box
x2 6oz Fillet Steaks
X1 Bay Tree Peppercorn Sauce
x4 Fondant Potatoes
200g Tenderstem Broccoli
500g Chantanay Carrots
500g Baby Mixed Leaf
250g Flat Mushrooms
x2 White Chocolate with Raspberry Heart Shaped Chocolate from ooh Chocolata
Peeled and clean, removing any dirt.
Boil in salted water with a knob of butter and drizzle of honey and star anise, until the water has evaporated (Approx 10 minutes)
Pan fry in a hob oiled pan. Season well, with black pepper and sea salt. You want a brown crisp outside, then add a knob of butter.
Once brown add your thyme and garlic cloves and beef stock.
Place in the oven until golden brown on both sides. you may need to turn occassionaly.
Blanch in boiling salted water for 2-3minutes.
Refresh with cold water and dry before Chargrilling.
Oil the tenderstem and place into a chargrill pan and leave until marks appear.
Then turn over. Once charred on both sides remove from the pan.
Wash the mushrooms to remove any dirt.

Take out of the fridge for 20mins to bring to room temporature.
Season your Meat with Salt and Pepper.
Heat your pan with oil and place the steaks in.
Seal the steaks on all sides to lock in the juices before adding the butter.
Add butter, crushed garlic cloves and thyme.
leave for 2 1/2 minutes for a rare steak on each side.
Once you have the desired colour, spoon the butter over the steaks to give a lovely flavour.
Once cooked, leave to rest for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Heat through in a sauce pan until pipping hot.
