Jackfruit Pulled 'pork' with Nachos
Delicious Jackfruit Pulled 'Pork' is a great meat alternative and superb for Veganuary.
Try it with Nachos or in a bun.
Jackfruit Pulled 'Pork' with Nachos
Drain the jackfruit into a and rinse to remove any brine.
While the jackfruit is rising, use your fingers to "shred" the jackfruit into strands that resemble shredded meat.
Ensure this is rinsed well.
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, then sauté the onion until it starts to soften, about 5 minutes.
Add in the chili powder and paprika, and saute again for 30 seconds.
Add in the tomato paste, vinegar, maple syrup and salt.
You may need to add a splash of water to help the sauce come together.
Add in the jackfruit, and ensure everything is coated with the sauce.
Place Nachos in an oven proof dish, cover with Jackfruit and Vegan Mozzarella or Cheddar.
Grill until the cheese melts.
